We are looking for self-motivated people to assist with Database creation - measuring food and other materials, using optical devices and chemical methods. The measuring includes sample preparation, sample measuring and adding data to a central database. The position requires excellent technical and learning skills, and an opportunity to expand the knowledge in multiple fields.

Consumer Physics is looking for an exceptional QA Team Leader & Automation Engineer to manage the Software QA team, Develop our UI Automation Infrastructure (Web + Android + iOS), and play a key role in improving our product's quality.

Required skills and traits:

  • At least 2 years experience leading a QA team.

Consumer Physics is building the first consumer grade spectrometer - a sensor that can fit in the palm of your hand (and will soon be part of your smartphone) and provides information about the chemical makeup of materials around you. To build this product we've put together an exceptional team covering diverse disciplines including optics, physics, chemistry, machine learning, manufacturing and software.

We are looking for a senior FW engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced FW engineer with proven record in working with DSPs, drivers development, and real time embedded programing. As a FW engineer in Consumer Physics you will lead all FW / embedded work related to the current products and future products of the company including the handheld SCiO device, and leading integration with mobile phone manufacturers as well as other OEMs. You will work closely with HW engineers, Algorithm developers and SW engineers to create new products and improve existing ones.

This is a great opportunity to join an exciting startup at a role with very high exposure to existing and future customers, with ability to influence current and future products of the company.

Required skills and traits:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a FW engineer including hands on development on DSPs.
  • Experience in RT embedded programing, drivers development, communication standards (i.e. USB, BT, BLE).
  • Fluent in C.
  • Experience in Linux Kernel and/or Android platform development is an advantage.
  • Experience in one or more of the following is an advantage: image processing algorithms, electronics test equipment, HW design, Python / C++ / .NET SW development.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Excited to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment in a fast growing start-up company.
  • Willingness to travel abroad to work at customers’ sites.
  • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from a well-known university. M.Sc. is an advantage.

Consumer Physics is building the first consumer grade spectrometer - a sensor which can fit in the palm of your hand, or be a part of your smartphone, and provides information about the chemical makeup of materials around you.

To build this product we've put together an exceptional team covering diverse disciplines including optics, physics, chemistry, machine learning, manufacturing and software. At this time we're looking for an excellent software developer to join our production line team, which is in charge of the software in our research facilities and production facilities, and its interface to our cloud infrastructure, and help us grow this service by a factor of x100 in the next year.
